Please join us on Monday, October 17th from 12:30-1:30pm for:
*Investigation of Foodborne Outbreaks*
A discussion with Dr. William Keene, PhD, MPH
Senior Epidemiologist, Oregon Public Health Services
102 Moffitt Undergraduate Library | Lunch will be provided!
Dr. Keene has been recently highlighted in the New York Times for his work on a Salmonella outbreak associated with cantaloupes that led the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to place import restrictions on the food company associated with the outbreak. The FDA is now being sued by the food company in a dispute over the legitimacy of the epidemiological data. Read more about it here.
We look forward to a lively and thought-provoking discussion!
